A beautiful loop above Montaldo, passing through woodland, old rural buildings and the Cappella di San Salvatore. The itinerary is listed by Alpi Cuneesi as starting from Montaldo di Mondovì and reaching the chapel at 972 m.

Sentiero Balcone Monregalese
A panoramic walking route through the Monregalese hills. One section connects Vicoforte to Montaldo di Mondovì, while another continues from Montaldo into the Val Corsaglia towards Corsagliola, Villero and Monte Vernaglio.

“Dalle vigne alle Alpi” route
A very good one to mention because it passes through the area of Oberti. Outdooractive notes that the Montaldo–Bric Vernaglio section coincides with the route “Dalle vigne alle Alpi” from Località Oberti.

Sentiero della Luce — Bossea
A more scenic mountain walk above the Grotta di Bossea. The CAI Mondovì describes it as starting near the cave area, climbing through the woods and reaching panoramic views over the whole Val Corsaglia.

Landandè — Vicoforte / Mondovì area
A softer option near Vicoforte and Mondovì, suitable also for easy walking or cycling. It is described as a mostly car-free route, also suitable for children on foot or by bicycle.

In winter, Villa Oberti becomes a quiet base for days in the snow. The ski areas of Prato Nevoso, Artesina and Frabosa are within easy reach, offering slopes, mountain views and winter walks before returning to the warmth of the house.

Grotta dei Dossi
A very charming and colourful cave near Villanova Mondovì. The Comune di Villanova Mondovì describes its evocative rooms, including Sala Bianca, Gran Sala del Cigno, Sala Rossa and Grotta delle Fate.

Another cave experience to mention for guests who want to explore more of the underground landscape of the Monregalese.

Sentieri above the caves
The CAI Mondovì has restored several walking routes connected to the cave areas, including the Sentiero della Luce and the Sentiero degli Abissi.
